Level 4 Insurance Financial Adviser Overview

Entry Requirements
- Be aged 16 or over
- Not currently in education or completing any Government funded training or qualifications
- Have been a UK resident for the last 3 years
- Employed for a minimum of 16 hours per week
- Spend at least 50% of your employed hours in England
- Must be working within the industry and completing a relevant role
- Have achieved a GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or 4 and above in English and maths. Candidates who have not achieved this, will need to score at least Level 1 in English and maths initial assessments completed during the Skills Edge enrolment process

Key Learning Outcomes
Industry & Organisation Understanding
Deep understanding of the structure of the Financial Services industry and in particular the role their part of the sector and organisation plays; the purpose of the function in which they work; how their function relates to the wider business. Clearly understanding of the organisation’s ‘Values’ and professional standards and how these are evidenced through the role.
Financial Services legal/ regulatory compliance framework
A comprehensive understand of the pertinent legal and regulatory framework, along with a solid understanding of the ethical principles behind the Financial Services industry. Understanding of the risk and governance frameworks specific to one’s organization or sector, and an awareness of how these frameworks manifest in one’s role. Recognize and effectively communicate the far-reaching consequences of non-compliance for the organization.
Products & Services
Deep comprehension of the Financial Service products and services provided to clients or customers by the organization and a solid knowledge of these offerings, including their distinct features and benefits relevant to the specific role.
Systems & Processes
Understanding of the policies and procedures of the organization, and a solid grasp of the systems, tools, and processes utilized in the role, along with the standards that must be met.
Proficiency in the necessary IT skills is essential, encompassing both generic software such as Excel, as well as organization-specific and Financial Service-specific software and systems as required to achieve the desired outcomes of the role.
Client / Customer Segments
A solid comprehension of the client or customer segments that an organization serves, as well as the channels through which they engage, is essential. Understanding the approach to ensuring fair outcomes for clients or customers across the business within a financial services context, including adherence to best practices. A deep understanding of the specific financial service customers requirements, relevant to the role.
